Below to the left is what we like to call the 'Dead Marshes.' The 
Spiekeroogians refer to it as the Mud flats.

Above to the right are the dunes, hummocks, hills, bluffs..whatever you want to call them..near the beach. I forgot to mention in the above post that we went wading in the North Sea in March! It was freezing!!!
